It's New and Improved!

Hi guys! GUESS WHAT?! I have renamed my blog:)

I have been thinking about it for a while because frankly 'Jane's Blog' was rather boring (right?), so putting our heads together, Rose and me came up with 'Catching Butterflies'. Isn't it awesome?

But then, once I had gotten a new name, my blog design didn't fit! It said the wrong thing on the header.

Luckily Rose came to my rescue and did a whole new redesign. What do you think? Don't you LOVE the pink?

Pass or Die

 

I have started writing a novel. I am so excited! Here is the summary that Rose helped me write:

Lillian Levine has always wanted to be a pirate! One day The Bloody Hammerhead, a fearsome pirate ship manned by Flotsam Mary, comes into the docks. Lillian decides she just has to join the crew or she will die. But that's easy said than done. To become part of the crew, Lillian must first pass a test and not just any old test, she must survive for a whole week on a lonely island with only a knife, a blanket and a dim boy.

I am having a great time. So far Lillian has proved to be no end of fun. Flotsam Mary is also cool! She has a really short temper, but is kind at heart.

I hope to post some of this novel soon, maybe after Easter though!

A Wonderful Day

Yesterday Mum took Rose and Me shopping. We were going to buy some winter clothes.

As we entered the clothes shop, we went over to the t shirt area and started choosing shirt after shirt. I saw a stripy one and liked it so much that Mum said I could have it.

Then we went and found some socks. My old ones are getting a bit worn through. Rose wanted black socks with coloured toes and heels. I wanted patterned socks.

Mum then took us to the shoe shop and we got new ballet flats and sneakers. I also got a pair of long leather boots!

We will do some more clothes shopping later, this is just the start.

On the way home from shopping we dropped by at Auntie Kelly's. Auntie Kelly has two boys and four girls.

I played with Emma and Bridgette. They are a lot of fun. We played with some Lego! I love Lego.

Auntie Kelly said we could stay for dinner, but Mum said we really must be getting home. So we left.

When we got home Rose and I made a quick dinner of cheese on toast, YUM! Dad came home from work after that and we all ate it together.

Then Rose and I went and played Play Station until bed. It was a lovely day!

A Busy Break

Sorry I haven't written in a while! (not since Ash Wednesday in fact). So sorry about that. What has kept me so far from my blog?

Well for a start Rose and I went to stay with our gran.  We had an awesome time. We went bush walking, bike riding, ice cream eating and we even had time for a bit of shopping.

What else? Well I started a novel and that's taking up a lot of time. I will write a post about that soon.

We haven't done much else besides laze around. I am so sorry. I'm back on track now though!
