Recently I got recommended The Penderwicks to read by Rose. I was all excited to read it. I couldn't wait to get started.
I have know finished it. I really enjoyed reading it. I want to read the other two books now.
The Penderwicks is about these four children named Rosalind, Sky, Jane and Batty who go on a holiday with their dad and dog, Hound, to this estate called Arundel which is owned by the mean Mrs Tifton.
While there they get into a lot of adventures with Jeffrey, the musically talented son of Mrs Tifton, and Cagney the gardener.
It was so amazing, you simply must read it. The character you could almost see they were described so well!
My favourite bit was the bit before the party where they are up in the attic. I could just imagine all those racks of clothes and the bows and arrows and toys and everything else.
